It's often the littlest things that make us smile the most....
....like bananas for 29¢ a pound and knowing fresh banana bread is right around the corner...
...cooler days and open windows...
...vintage linens from a friend who knows I just love them...
...thrifted books for 29¢ each...
...organized coupons...(finally!)....
...clean quilts drying in the sun...
...a screen door from a neighbor who didn't need it anymore after ours had broken...
...watching this boy kick his ball and feeling another babe kick inside my belly...
and feeling more and more blessed each day.
Today, our thoughts and prayers go out to those in the East.

I love this idea of making a list of "the little things". Congratulations on your pregnancy!!

I only just saw this post! how could I have missed it, and can I just tell you how jealous I am of the price you got your bananas for, we had some pretty bad natural disasters this year which has damaged a majority of the banana crops in OZ, so the average cost for bananas here at the moment is about $12 per kg!!!

I missed this yesterday. What wonderful words and things to be thankful for, Kristen. The screen door is a plus! And bananas at that price? The lowest I've seen is 44 cents/lb. Banana bread sounds just the right thing to me. It freezes well if it can get into the freezer. I've been thankful for open windows too.
