Yarning along again today with Ginny!
A lovely Thanksgiving weekend brought with it some extra time for knitting....almost done here with Lena's raglan! It's a newborn size, so I really don't have very much more to go. The color of this yarn is "woodsy" to me, so I plan to use a couple of woodland animal buttons on the front. Does anyone know of any good on-line places to buy such buttons?
I love this Scandinavian Stitches book and have been scouring it for some fun Christmas gift-making ideas. If you happen to sew, I highly recommend it for many fun and colorful projects.
Also, I received this gorgeous yarn as a gift and am just waiting for some time to spend on Ravelry to find an appropriate project for it. I love the color so much, that it might just have to be something for me! Which means that it will most likely have to wait until after Christmas. Darn. (Isn't it something how the yarn is exactly the same color as our cat's eyes?)
Happy Knitting to You!

Lovely yarn color. I have been thinking about getting the book for a while. It looks so fun and with your recommendation, I just may have to get it. The sweater is gorgeous already, and I really like your woodland idea.

My daughter begged this book for her birthday back in September and LOVES it! You are right on with the woodland themed button idea... I agree with Ellen. Try Etsy. I've seen some wonderful ones there!

You book looks awesome! I may have to look into that. Can't wait to see the sweater done, woodland buttons would be adorable.

yes that yarn IS lovely - as are the cats' eyes :) Maybe you can make yourself a scarf from it- one of those mini shawl like ones :)
There are some button shops on etsy- try there :)

I love your yarn! I wanted so much to buy the same color to make something for me except that is not a color I can wear in the winter :(!
I wish I could sew as your book looks so pretty. I hope you post some of your finished projects from it. I'll just drool from afar.

I like the woodland themed button idea. Unfortunately, I don't know of any place, unless you try Etsy. That might turn up more unusual buttons.

The new yarn is beautiful, and you should definitely make something for yourself with it :) Even if that does mean you have to wait a little while before casting on!
Totally agree that the brown yarn is woodsy - no idea where to get any, but I'm thinking it would look super cute with hedgehog buttons!
