I'll use the new baby excuse for not having done a whole lot of Christmas sewing this year, but I did sneak in these matching aprons made from this book for my two dear sisters.
Anyone who has sisters can attest to the sweet and simple, yet immensely complicated relationships that they bring about. (But we wouldn't trade them for the world, would we?) WIth one of my sisters living out West, and the other getting ready to move out East, I have been rather sentimental about these two great ladies lately. It's sometimes hard to believe that the three of us girls, who lived so closely for so many years, will soon be spread out all across the country.
But we'll stay close, albeit not physically. Sisters don't really have a choice - there is just some crazed force of nature that makes us love each other to pieces no matter what.
(And matching aprons help some, too!)
Today I'm linking up with Gracelaced for her new Monday series!

thanks for the super cute apron, love it!
pic is sweet with Hank toddling in the background.

Very cute! Between you and Amanda I'm getting the urge to dust off my sewing machine!

Sometimes I wonder if I missed out by not having a sister. But a brother's pretty good too! That apron is sweet. Yeah for handmade. Thanks for reminding me of that book - haven't made anything from it quite yet - really ought to.

Such a sweet apron! I don't have sisters, but I DO understand the complexity of relationships and how little reminders of how you are "tied" together is a blessing!

That's a great way of dealing with something tough like moving away. My sister and I are struggling to stay close with large physical distance between us too, and I really liked this idea.

I have 2 sisters who are my best friends and even though they live in Va. we talk several times a week.
Thank you for the email. I have been having the same trouble on a few sites too. Crazy blogger! :)

as someone with 3 sisters, who incidentally are spread out across the country, I can attest all of your assumptions. We actually have a private facebook group where we have hour long "chats" together online and they inevitably end up with me laughing so hard I have tears running down my cheeks.
PS the aprons are cute too.
