Bread!
You are light and fluffy and chewy and yummy,
You are so cute sitting on the edge of my plate,
You are my total bargaining power over my children. For if they eat their vegetables, they shall get a nice, warm slice of your buttered goodness!
You are a joy to make and you smell outta this world!
Shame on low-carb diets. Never here, I tell you!
Bread, you can count on us.
We really, really, really LOVE you!

We've recently enjoyed several bags of bread flour from a friend and continue to be thankful for God's provision however He gives it!
Happy Tuesday to You!

Oh, I love bread, but haven't eaten any in almost 3 weeks. It seems in my middle age that I have developed some kind of wheat allergy.
I love the shot of you little sou chef, they are very important to have in the kitchen and your's looks like he knows what he's doing! :)

Cute! Can you send me the recipe? The ones I have just don't do the trick that gets me "ode"ing to bread :) I'm so glad you're enjoying it.

I completely undestand the bargaining. Amelia would eat nothing but bread if it was left up to her. We use bread every night to get her to eat what's on her plate. I recently found a recipe for soup served in a bread bowl but that would be out of the question here. Amelia would eat her bowl first and we'd have a big mess on our hands!

Ellen...thanks for the title suggestion :) We've been making various kinds of bread but a new favorite is Everyday Oat Bread from Amanda Soule's Rhythm of Family. The bread machine version.

An ode to bread. I love it! We are thankful for all of God's provisions and especially bread. In our house, if I bake, I know I'll have to double (or triple) a recipe so that I can freeze some or else it'll get gobbled up in no time. What is the recipe? Hans looks like a good helper.
