Yarning along with Ginny again this week...won't you join in?
I have begun my honey cowl and I can already tell I'm going to love it. I'm using Quince & Co.'s Lark in Carrie Yellow, and the color makes me so happy. It's a warm, mustardy yellow perfect for winter wear. I've enjoyed the rhythm of the *slip 1 wyif, purl 1* - it's very soothing and calms my end-of-day nerves. Three cheers for that!
I'm enjoying watching this honeycomb pattern form as I go and am still amazed by the whole knitting thing. I love how my fingers and some needles can turn yarn into something beautiful and useful.
I found this book in the clearance bin of the local grocery store and just couldn't pass it up. An impulse buy if you will, but at least a practical one! Besides, what's an extra 7 dollars tacked onto an already monstrous grocery bill?
Happy Knitting and Reading to You!

Oh, you sound just like I do when the children ask me my favorite color—I tell them, "Yellow. It makes me happy, like the sunshine." Love your yellow you are using. -heather

Yes, the food bills just keep getting larger, don't they? That looks like a gorgeous cowl; I've been wanting to try some Quince & Co. for forever, but must use up MUCH more of my stash before I buy any new yarn!

The cowl looks good so far - glad you're enjoying it. I need to attend to some of my wips when what I really want to do is try something new. Patience and self control is what I need to get these items done.

Oh, I hear you about color making you happy. For me, it's usually green - I love Knit Picks "Canopy" color. I used it to make socks and to make fingerless gloves. Really simple projects, but the whole time I was working on them I just let my eyes soak in the color, and it made me feel so content.

Ah the monstrous food bill . . . . Knitting helps calm the nerves from that too. I knew you would love the cowl-making. I am so happy it's working so well for you. It looks pretty already! That book looks great. I'll see if I can find it.
