Yarning along with Ginny today for my first post of 2013!
I'm very excited about this particular yarn along, because I can finally show a finished Tiny Tea Leaves cardi! I got it done just in time to be washed, blocked, wrapped up and put under the tree to be opened Christmas morning. My girl was indeed delighted by this - she has been hinting around for a while now that she would love a hand knit sweater. She is tired of seeing her baby sister in them. (But baby sweaters are so quick, I tell her!) I made this sweater for Rylen in a size 12, which I think will give her plenty of growing room for the next year or two.
All in all, I had a great time with this pattern. I think my next sweater attempt will be Little Buds, though for my second daughter. Probably a size 8.
One knitting goal of mine for 2013 is to knit just a bit faster. Or maybe alot faster!
I dare say the holiday flurry has kept me too busy to doing a whole lot of reading lately, but I did come across a free e-book today that caught my eye. It's called 21 Days to Making Any Area of Your Life Better. Maybe a little motivational reading at the start of this new year will do me good.
