This Christmas season we have had the pleasure of watching Rylen, our eldest, in her theater debut!
She joined up with this local acting company to produce Dicken's A Christmas Carol with a fabulous cast of 30 young actors and one wonderful, very patient director. There are a total of 6 performances in 5 different venues in a 9 day span....whew! Since the venue changes most every time, the show is a bit different each time. The cast must re-stage each performance, which is a highly detailed and mind-jogging process. These young people make it seem seamless, and I am truly impressed by one great show after another. (Might I add, that watching this show in the quaint villages of New England really helps to set the tone in a way that is just about picture perfect!)
A Christmas Carol, which has been proceeded by many, many hours of practice, driving, and carrying up sleeping, pajama-ed little ones from the car after late night rehearsals, is so well worth is and by far our favorite Christmas event of the year!
So, without further ado, Rylen cast in two parts, as one Belinda Cratchet and the other a young Charity Girl!
